Technology at Ramona
In 2011-2012 Ramona High School became a full implemented digital high school. Students are issued a 7” tablet instead of text books. This device allows students to have access to all of their textbooks, and materials from each of their classes. The tablet is checked out to students just like textbooks in the past. We encourage students to purchase insurance for their device just as a precaution against damage and theft. Low cost insurance can be purchased from private companies, one such company form can be found by clicking on the link located on this page.
RUSD understands it’s a mandate for free and public education and is doing all it can to provide access to those who do not have access to a digital device but we also understand that you may already have this resource or be willing to purchase one. We truly appreciate the help.
Riverside has recently been named the world’s Intelligent Community of the Year 2012 by the Intelligent Community Forum. Here is a short video clip that highlights some of the great things that Ramona has been doing and how Ramona has been leading the way on using technology to increase student learning.
